// Marine Biologist, Artist, and Gamedev

Hey! I'm Calcifi, otherwise known as Cal, Mal, or Malware. I'm a little robot with big hobbies and even bigger ambitions. I love to create and do so near constantly, though I have friends who keep my projects in check.

I am currently a hobbyist artist, but attended an art college for 2 years. I do not wish to do this professionally or as a job, as I dislike being restricted to one subject/medium/etc. I will rarely take commissions for this reason. I am self-taught in fiber arts, with most of my knowledge being passed down from my family. While I mostly sell minky plushes, I prefer to quilt my personal plushes using dozens of fabrics, as it not only cuts down on waste but allows me to have fun making interesting textures and patterns!

As for my current line of work, I assist in a laboratory. My aim is to use my marine biology degree to research how climate change affects invertebrate-targetting heteroxenous marine parasites, with a focus on nematodes.
